Hey there, I´m Madalyn!
Wife to Joshua, Momma to Myles , Cecilia & Nora the Corgi, and an enneagram type one.
I’m the type of person who doesn’t give my real name at Starbucks because I don’t want them to spell it wrong (there are a million wrong versions of Madalyn let me tell you). I’m not intrusive at all; I hate being the center of attention; and you’ll never find me being the life of the party. I’ve been told I’m easy to talk to and can make just about anyone feel comfortable in my presence.
I’m not really trendy or hip, especially now that I’m a mom of two. Down to earth would definitely be the best way to describe me. I’m a homebody who enjoys cooking dinner every night, but my favorite places to get lost in are libraries and used bookstores. When we’re not hanging out with our two kids (2 & baby), you can find my husband Josh and I trying new brews, spirits and wines, doing DIY home renovations, and camping out in our R-Pod.
“Madalyn was so responsive and professional and kind and funny. She made the whole day so relaxed and easy. I didn’t even feel like I was taking pictures!! Just hanging out with a good friend, who so happened to have a camera in her hand! And we had just met her!!”

What I Believe In…
I prefer to keep things body positive. You won’t find me talking negatively about anyone’s body and I encourage clients to do the same. I welcome all body types in front of my camera and make it a point to hype you up and encourage you!
Marriage & Gender Equality
I am LGBT+ friendly and am happy to photograph any type of family or couple.
Traditional or Untraditional
Whether you prefer a big cathedral wedding or saying your vows in the woods, I am here for it so long as it’s what you want and are envisioing for your wedding day! I truly love variety in my work and I just am excited to capture couples who are excited about their wedding day.
WHAT MY CLIENTS ARE SAYING
“My husband and I are not fans of getting our pictures taken, or even looking at pictures of ourselves, but Madalyn made all the difference.”
Not only was she chill and fun, but she we super professional as well. Especially when working with our families, and even our dogs. She captured so many great memories for us, just working alone at our wedding. All I can say – if you are looking for a photographer Madalyn should be your first choice.
“From engagement photos to day-of photography and all the support in between, Madalyn was an absolute rockstar! She listened to what we wanted and delivered stunning memories we will cherish forever.”
Leading up to our big day, Madalyn had multiple check-ins to make sure we stayed on track and didn’t get left in a crunch period. Day of, she was timely and kept the show moving so we didn’t have to constantly be checking the time. She recommended beautiful locations for our portraits and is so talented with capturing the perfect lighting and architectural backdrops

2010: I buy my first DSLR camera
After using countless point and shoots, including my mom’s film Nikon point and shoot back in elementary school, I buy my first DSLR camera and take a digital photography class during my senior year in college. I love it!
2016: Shot my first session & wedding
One of my coworkers and now friends invited me to photograph her engagement session and wedding after seeing some of my travel photos. I’m so lucky she trusted me but I don’t advise anyone to start their career this way! Luckily it turned out great and I decided to open a photography business in 2017.
2019: Went full time
After an exceptionally busy 2018, my business had grown so much that I decided to quit my full time marketing job to continue to pursue photography. I’m so glad I jumped in and did even though it was scary and a big step. I love working for myself and haven’t looked back since I turned in my notice.
2022: Had my best year yet
Since that first wedding in 2016, I have shot over 100 weddings and countless sessions. I’ve never made my business about awards or publications but have focused on my clients and their experience. I love working with clients year after year, milestone after milestone.
When I started this business, I thought I understood legacy and memory. I spent a great deal of time thinking about it while writing both my junior and senior thesis in college, but being young, I never realized how truly fleeting life is. Until I became a mother. In May 2021, we welcomed our son, Myles, into the world and then I truly understood how fast time flies by (though it doesn’t feel like it in the moment) and how he won’t remember these days or me as a young mother, but the photos, videos, and stories we pass down to our children are intangible relics of us. Ensuring we have these recorded memories is so important to me as a parent and I think my work has been informed by these feelings and thoughts of what will last and what matters when it comes to creating imagery.
