Mini sessions are fast-paced, scheduled back-to-back at a pre-selected date and location. Different from family sessions, they are meant to give a quicker experience rather than one specifically tailored to your family. Everyone is welcome at mini sessions: couples, maternity, kids, families, and pets (leashed please!). I offer mini sessions throughout the year – usually always once in the summer, fall and holiday time. I offer a variety of packages to work with a variety of budgets.

What you can expect

Mini sessions are scheduled back-to-back so I ask that clients arrive early and be ready at their scheduled time. You can expect usually some type of prop, whether that be a blanket, chair, sofa, etc. I will always grab photos of everyone smiling, all the possible combinations of family members, and some more candid moments as time allows. You’ll receive a gallery of images that you can choose from.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a mini session and a family session?

A mini session is much shorter and meant to be more “quick and dirty,” meaning less variety in images and poses. They are meant to be for quick updates to your family photos, headshots, holiday card photos, etc. You’ll get a limited amount of digitals. Minis are great if you’d like to try me out!

Family sessions are longer in length, give more variety in images and poses, and more digitals. Family sessions are meant to tell more of a story about your family instead of just being a quick photo session. I spend more time with my family session clients and usually get to know them a little better.

What's the booking process?

To officially secure the mini session, I’ll send over a contract and invoice for the booking retainer. The signed contract and a $50 non-refundable retainer are required to secure your date/time. Everything is done online to make it easy peasy for you (and me!).

Can my extended family come?

Mini sessions are for immediate family only. For extended family options, please contact me.

What should we wear?

After you book, I’ll send over my helpful hints and tips, but to sum it up, comfortable clothes you can move in and neutral colors always work well!

How do I receive my photos and when?

All of my images are delivered via an online gallery so you can view and download them wherever you are! You’ll also be able to order professional prints, albums, and books through your gallery.
