Chelsea and Henry’s San Morello intimate wedding was truly a joy to photograph!
We started the day at Chelsea and Henry’s home for getting ready. There was hustle and bustle of family and friends getting ready for the big event but I got straight to work capturing detail photos of their beautiful accessories. These two didn’t have a typical first look and just got ready and went off to take photos! I loved the simplicity and not worrying about who didn’t need to see who.
As it was a summer San Morello intimate wedding, Chelsea and Henry decided to split their portrait session between and indoor and outdoor location. By far the best indoor location (in my opinion) is the Fisher Building, which has the most beautiful art deco architecture. I just love this building. Being that it was summer, it wasn’t very busy and we were able to take portraits in all of my favorite spots.
Then we headed downtown to San Morello and the Shinola Hotel. After some portraits outside in Parker’s Alley and on Woodward – I love how in this area you can get a variety of looks very quickly and without running around the entire city – we went up into their hotel suite. Wow, what a million dollar view of Woodward Avenue!
As family and friends started arriving for this San Morello intimate wedding, I tucked myself away to grab candids and prep for the ceremony, giving these two time to freshen up and get ready to say “I do!” The wedding took place in San Morello’s private dining room, which is modern and elegant. It’s a small room, but with a small group, it’s a lovely space that doesn’t need much adorment.
After Chelsea and Henry said “I do!” in a quick ceremony, they signed their license, and were able to celebrate with their friends and family, many of whom traveled from afar for this special day.
Chelsea had a second look for dinner so I was able to photograph her adorable dress in their suite before dinner began.
I absolutely love intimate weddings and I was so grateful to be a part of Chelsea and Henry’s elegant San Morello intimate wedding!
