Kadijah and Steven’s summer St. Clair Inn wedding was a beautiful, warm day on the water. Located on the St. Clair River, the St. Clair Inn is a stunning historic venue that was recently renovated in 2019, making it both charmingly historic and stunningly modern at the same time.

The day began with getting ready – Steven in a conference room above the reception space, overlooking the water, and Kadijah in one of the inn’s cottages. After putting on their final touches for their summer St. Clair Inn wedding, the pair had a private first look at a stunning overlook right off the water, before heading to some shade for portraits with their wedding party. The day was warm and a little windy!

Kadijah and Steven met on the app Coffee Meets Bagel. They were so much fun at their winter engagement session – I enjoyed laughing along with them. They were much the same on their wedding day – even sneaking in a secret handshake between shots.

The ceremony took place at the St. Clair Inn’s outdoor ceremony grounds, which overlooks the water. With heartfelt vows, the pair were wed in front of their friends and family.

A cocktail hour took place right outside the reception space on the patio. Being the summer, it was the perfect time to enjoy cocktails al fresco. The guests were ushered inside for a four-course dinner which ended in a dance party.

Before saying good bye for the night, I took the couple out for some nighttime photos, my signature end of the night portraits, as the St. Clair Inn is positioned where there really isn’t a good sunset – it’s on the sunrise side of the state.
