I’ll say it again and again: the best clients are referral clients and the longer I do this, the more referral clients come my way! I’m so glad my November 2018 bride Shannon referred Sharon to me because these two are so much fun! I loved spending an evening with them for their downtown Birmingham engagement session. We wandered around downtown and took some of my favorite portraits of the session in front of the iconic Birmingham 8 sign. Also the sun hit just right and the golden hour was on point! It always helps when the couple is literally the most adorable.

The best part of a downtown Birmingham engagement session is the opportunity to use both an urban setting and a nature setting because there’s a park with a trail so close to downtown that you feel like you’re in a different place completely! I just love doing both because I can’t decide if I like urban or nature more!

The best part of this session was Sharon asking me specifically if we could do the shot where they’re laying on the blanket facing each other. They nailed it!

I’m so excited for Sharon and Destin’s June 2020 wedding at the Townsend! It’ll be here before we know it, right?!?!
