I think it’s really special to get photos taken with your kid and their grandparents. I’ve loved how many clients have decided to include grandparents in their sessions over the past year, including these parents for their summer Birmingham family session. This session also celebrated 18 months of Emma! And what a little personality she is now; here’s her at 5 months at an in home session. 

Eighteen month olds can be one of the trickiest ages to photograph. They are moving and grooving but they aren’t able to understand bribes or negotiation quite yet. So we had to be crafty with how to get Emma to cooperate. I think we succeeded – she is just adorable, don’t you think?

We used one of my favorite spots for families – it’s an easy in and out of the car and a short walk to a great spot. I prefer to make it easier on clients with littles.
