It’s the most delightful to be invited to not only photograph a couples’ engagement, wedding and maternity sessions, but also be there when they welcome a new baby into their family! What a lucky West Bloomfield newborn photographer am I?!

Sarthak and Jayne welcomed their sweet baby girl last winter and her hair just was the icing on all of the cake. I loved getting to see their new home, catch up with them, and meet their babe.

When I do an in home newborn session as a West Bloomfield newborn photographer, I bring everything you need for the session – just add a baby! I bring an assortment of wraps (all colors) and we decide what works best for your family and tastes. For this family, we used a mustard yellow and a sage green – which felt like a breath of fresh air after so many blues and pinks! I also bring simple props for baby solo photos. You literally only need to tidy up a bit and even then, it’s totally okay if it’s not perfect, you’re postpartum!

One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is building years-long relationships with my clients. It feels like being with old friends when you have been photographing and seeing the same people for upwards of five plus years, which is the case for this family. I am so lucky to have the best clients – especially those that send me off with chocolate chip cookies!
