Lauren and Noah’s Belle Isle Conservatory engagement session was the perfect mix of outdoor and indoor imagery. These two choose the Belle Isle Conservatory for their engagement session because Noah actually proposed there! This is a perfect reason to choose a location for an engagement session.
We kicked off this Belle Isle Conservatory engagement session at the conservatory, a lush oasis brimming with exotic plants and vibrant flowers. The couple, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature, shared some laughs getting used to being photographed amongst the conservatory’s diverse plant life provided a stunning variety of textures and colors. There is a fee to use the conservatory, but it’s well worth it in my opinion.
As the engagement session continued, we towards the historic Belle Isle Casino, a stunning architectural masterpiece that stands as a testament to Detroit’s rich history. The casino, which is one of my favorite exteriors to photograph, is perfect in the golden hour, as it has beautiful architecture and willows right next to it. The Detroit skyline is visible from the casino as well. I love adding some time at the casino to a Belle Isle Conservatory engagement session.
After meeting online, these two hit it off immediately. And I’d have to say after we initially met, I also was so excited to spend some time with them. We laughed a lot during this session! Lauren and Noah describe themselves as “big sports fans and firm believers that the best Sundays consist of church, grocery shopping, family, and yelling at a tv screen at whatever Detroit or Pittsburgh team happens to be in season.” If they could have, they would have invited their cat, Meeka, to their session.
The natural beauty of the island, combined with the architectural wonders of the Conservatory and Casino, created a dreamy setting that elevated the engagement session to an unforgettable experience. I love using the island and all of its treasures for engagement sessions. See another Belle Isle engagement session here.
