Mike and Sarah’s fall Law Quad engagement session at the University of Michigan took place on what I think was the PERFECT fall day – not too warm and not too cold, with a lovely golden hour light.

Mike is a University of Michigan alum now and these two spent a lot of time around the campus during his time there so naturally they decided on using this gorgeous part of campus for their engagement session.

These two met in high school but didn’t start dating until college. Apparently they both liked each other way back when but didn’t put two and two together until later!

A fall Law Quad engagement session wouldn’t be complete without that perfect golden light tiptoeing across the buildings. The Law Quad is lovely in any season, but man, in the fall, campus just shines. It’s one of my favorite places to shoot at the University of Michigan, see this session as well. It’s popular for a reason!

For part two of our session, we went to Nichol’s Arborteum. Mike and Sarah enjoy hikes and hammocking, so naturally Nichol’s made sense. They took me to the far reaches of the arborteum and we ended our session in a lovely field of grass. I love Nichol’s Arborteum, but man it can be a hike back!

Can’t wait to share more of these two. Their fall wedding was just so GOOD!
