I love it when clients take me to new places for their sessions. Victoria and Matt’s Dow Gardens engagement session took me to a new place, and a beautiful one at that. They chose this location because they got engaged there!

We met up on a Sunday summer afternoon and had absolutely perfect weather to explore the gardens. Lots of walking but it was worth it! Late June means blooming flowers, lots of green trees, and sunshine.

Matt and Victoria met at Oakland University in a business analytics class. During the class they became project partners.  After the class ended they stayed friends and took several more classes together. Then they started dating and the rest is history. These two are so sweet and I loved getting to spend so much time with them at this session! It’s one of my favorite parts of my job.

I absolutely love the outfits they wore for their Dow Gardens engagement session. The blues really stood out against the greenery throughout the garden. We don’t really have a garden similar to Dow Gardens in the Detroit area, at least not one that is accessible to photographers!

Can’t wait until their June 2022 wedding at Cherry Creek!
