Alyssa and Alex’s spring Ann Arbor engagement session highlighted some locations they loved from their dating days. These two met at the University of Michigan so it was only fitting to photograph their engagement session there.

Alyssa is the sister of one of my former grooms so it was nice to catch up with her and meet Alex! They are such a fun duo to be around with such adventurous spirits!

We did not use the law quad (as so many Michigan grads do) but used the quadrangle and a few buildings surrounding it instead. I love the law quad but it’s nice to break it up for a spring Ann Arbor engagement session.

Lucky for us, the peonies were in full bloom at Nichols Arboretum so we made our second stop the peony garden! I have always wanted to photograph a couple there so these two made my dream come true! The peony garden is one of the most beautiful spots for a spring Ann Arbor engagement session – though I highly suggest a morning session to not only beat the crowds but also for the most beautiful light!
